    Hi to everyone.
Want to make a little 8GB kit RAM upgrade for my Clevo m570TU.
Have choosen to buy KHX1600C9S3K2/8GX or KHX1600C9S3P1K2/8G or F3-12800CL9D-8GBSK.

Befor a buy a decided to write into kingston tech support.
My question was:" Hi! I'm interested in buying KHX1600C9S3P1K2/8G memory. And I have one question. Bus speed on my Clevo M570TU is 1066Mhz and the bus speed of KHX1600C9S3P1K2/8G memory is 1600Mhz. Will this memory be compatibe with my laptop, will it work on 1066Mhz bus speed?"

And the Kingston tech support answerd me : "This memory is unlikely to work in this computer. It may not be able to downclock to 1066Mhz and the computer cannot handle the overclocked speed of 1600Mhz. Also, you cannot use 4GB modules in this computer. The part number we suggest for this is two KVR1333D3S9/2G modules."

How you think, will those KHX1600C9S3K2/8GX or KHX1600C9S3P1K2/8G or F3-12800CL9D-8GBSK work for my Clevo m570TU? And which one of those three is best on your opinion?

Ok... first off... what's your chipset?
    Download and run CPU-Z.
Check your motherboard chipset and controller via CPU-Z, then write them down here.

Theoretically it should be possible for you to upgrade to 8GB.
Heck, my PM45 chipset supports 8GB and the laptop was tested with it and works (and that's of the DDR2 variety 2x4gb)

The laptop manufacturer would only be able to tell you what they 'officially' know/support.
They aren't nuts to engage in discussions about your upgrade options because they want you to sooner buy a new laptop if possible.

If it turns out that you can upgrade to 8GB (and I think it should be possible), then I would suggest you get 1333MHz DDR3 RAM.
    Why?
It's cheaper (at least from what I was able to tell).
Higher speed RAM does nothing for performance (you will not notice it in real-time use).
As for 1600Mhz not being able to downclock to 1066Mhz... I think it's not accurate (then again I could be mistaken).

    Mobo dependent, I'd say.

Yup... the chipset as such definitely supports 8GB.

But as I originally stated, get the cheapest variety of DDR3 RAM you can get (I think the 1333Mhz is the cheapest) and it should downclock automatically to maximum supported FSB speed.

BTW... if you are in US... might as well buy from newegg:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148276

    That's $40 in total for 8GB.
Cheaper than what you would get for 1600Mhz RAM... and this one operates on 1066Mhz (your native speed).
    :D
