I've installed a Intel 120Gig SSD SATA2 into my ASUS N53SV-XV1. When I set my boot priority, it shows the SSD as an option so I set it to priority 2 behind the CD Rom. But when installing Windows when it gets to the screen asking me where to install Windows it says no hard drive detected. Any suggestions?

According to the title, Windows 7 but OP doesn't mention which variant (Home Premium, Ultimate?).

Oh, boy. Time for a coffee. I can't believe I missed that!

I don't think the Windows 7 installer would have issues with the newer SATA controllers which is what I was going to get at.
