I purched a HP Pavilion DV6645 for my son to take to Iraq in two weeks with the understanding from the salesman that I could remove Vista and install Windows XP. Upon installing XP I found that none of the hardware was reccognized and HP does not supply drivers for XP.
I am in hopes someone can direct me to drivers for another model that will work so I can get it up and running for him before he leaves. The laptop and the internet will be our only means of communicating with him once he is gone. I hate for him to leave with VISTA on the laptop as he is having trouble using the new operating system and many of the programs he wants to use are not campatable.
Iny help would be greatle appreciated.
Thanks in advance

you didn't say en or us, so it may or not be the right drivers- everything should be about the same for the 2 OS's -
From the specifications on the HP website for the dv6645us. It seems like an AMD cpu/Nvidia chipset based system. If so then the thread linked below should help you setup XP...
