In most situations the Scorpio Black outperforms the 7200.4. Techreport.com has posted many real world benchmarks of both drives.

If you don't do a lot of medium/heavy multitasking you might as well get a 5400rpm WD5000BEVT. It's more quiet, uses less power and alsmost as fast as WD3200BJKT.

I use hdd intensive software, and sound isnt really an issue, so i would preffer to stick to 7200 rpm options.

I'm more conserned which of the two drives is more reliable, i personally like both seagate and wd and cannot make up my mind, thats why i'm asking for a feedback from users already using them :D

I was trying to tell you that the 7200rpm Seagate isn't any faster than the 5400rpm WD.

I'm using Scorpio Black. Never had problems with it.

Check the Newegg reviews for more user reports.
