    Help me find some RAM?

    Next to each model, I've listed what I want. Advice on where to buy (preferable newegg) and which item to buy is appreciated.

    Dell Precision M4400: has 2GB RAM ... I want 4GB ... (200-pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2-xxxx if that helps). Someone said OCZ is selling a 2x2GB kit on new egg for $80 with a 25 rebate.

    Dell Inspiron 9300: has 512MB RAM ... I want 2GB ... so I need a 2x1GB kit (200-pin SODIMM DDR2 PC2-xxxx if it helps).

    you can try crucial.com, there memory comes with a life time warranty.
    If you're looking for a bargain ebay is a good place .

    I recomemended to get the Crucial memory, cause it has free shipping, and it only works out to be a few more dollars than the kingston and g.skill memory. Crucial usually manufacturers the highest quality memory cells. People will spend more for the Micron chips Crucial uses, and I am no exception. Crucial and OCZ make solid very good performing memory, and I have to recommend them both.

    Crucial memory is bit more expensive, $90 compared to OCZs $59 or G.Skills $65. I'm not making a bad choice going with G.Skill am I? They have the lowest prices for both DDR2 800 and DDR2 533.

    G.Skill is good memory, I'm using 2gigs of it in my desktop right now.

    The OCZ RAM doesn't mention anything about Limited Lifetime Warranty, so go for the G.Skill.

    You can try out the PC2-5300 CL4 G.Skill RAM for the Inspiron 9300, and it should downclock to PC2-4200 CL3 (but +$10)....
