I'm also looking to go to 4GB of RAM on my acer 5100, however I'm running 32 bit vista. Whats the most amount of RAM I can put in with a 32 bit system?

So if I were to install 2 cards with 2 GB's of RAM each it will only recognize the 3.2GB of it? Or do i have to get a 2 GB and 1 GB card?
I may upgrade to a 64 bit so I'd rather if it works get the 2X2GB cards for the future.

    thanks for the help

You can put 2 2GB sticks in and will work fine just as said all will not be seen. Not a bad idea with RAM prices and possible future upgrade to 64.
