I need to open the case of my Acer travelmate 3201xci. Does anyone have any screen shots or step by steps tutorials on how to do such a procedure? I unscrewed all of the visible screws underneath the computer. However, I was unable to get the shell off. Clearly there are hinges that are not visible to the naked eye. Please help me or my computer will suffer from a heatstroke. Thanks in advanceĀ….

just a word of caution before unscrewing anything in your lappy, be sure that your fan is not really moving. a lappy fan will only kick until the temperature has meet its limits. thus, for example my lappy fan will only kick when my notebook temp reaches 55 degree celcius. it will also kick for a second, when i open my lappy.

i agree with gohelet, but if and when you get it open, then make sure to get some canned air and blow out any dust

Thanks for the advice gentlemen, however, i'm 100% positive it no longer moves. Back to my original thought, does anyone know how to open my machine?
