Hi people
I have another problem to solve, it's a USB microscope from Ali express.
The thing is my wife brought me one from Ali express for a present
But I'm having terrible time getting this configured
I'm using vista home premium light activated but my USB microscope still can't find the drivers, it's saying the driver required is missing a INF file
Ant ideas people

many thanks for your reply the kind of scope it is its the silver pen type'
ive tried what you sent me, but with no luck.
when i plug the scope in the usb it dont even search for it anymore its driving me up the wall.
ive contacted the company on ali express and he sent me a link for AMCAP but that did not work because i cant get the windows to see this scope.
cheers bri -
Usually the scope is a USB web cam. The one I have, on a 25' cable, just loads the driver from the INF file. Once loaded you need a program to view the picture.

hi'
they did not give me the driver with the INF file on it, i just got AMCAM s oftware.

Probably then just a generic usb web cam then. Vista may just no be recent enough to carry the default driver. where it was purchsed does it advertise Vista compatible?
-
Hi
I think when I installed it vista I mean, I went for vista light which is a vista that don't install a lot of the wallpapers tones bmps ect.
It's a case of install then use my serial and away you go, would it be possible to install more drivers for vista home premium.
Thanks for your help

The camera, what is the link to the hardware? If the hardware states "Vista ready" then either the drivers are generic and included or are provided by the OEM.
-
What about if I download a updated vista drivers torrent disk burn that to DVD and update from there, do you think that might work.

Again, we need to know what camera this is. How can we know what driver will work for you without knowing what hardware it is and its capability?
-
this might help ive uploaded a pic to note books i think its called, but i dont know where it is.

From what I can see the Andonstar is just a generic web cam from USB 2.0. This should be included within Vista as a driver. The problem from there can be internal conflicts from your laptops web cam etc..

i havent got any other webcam installed...

Your laptop does not have a default one?
-
Is there a switch on the Microscope to turn it on / off? Check the Windows Device manager for a webcam entry / usb device - plug in / unplug to see if a device pops in / out.
After the USB set up was done when you plugged it in the first time, it might not have a popup message any longer - try a different port to get the message again. -
there is a button with a adjust wheel for brightness and the button is for single shot pic

You have not answered here though, is there a web camera on your laptop? Also if there is a button that means some software usually has to recognize the button/function.
-
Yes there is a cam on my laptop but it's not used no drivers are installed because I have trouble finding the right one, so in the device manager it's showing a yellow highlight around the webcam for not being installed.

That could be your issue as since the first is not installed and it too should use the USB channels. It has to get all the resources assigned etc..

hi
there could be logic there about the webcam' but its a nightmare trying to find a driver for this laptop.....its a samsung R730 Webcam SCB-0350m
but its showing in the device manager as unknown.
the laptop is a nightmare.
