In short I managed to mess up a 4GB flash drive. Basically I deleted the partition using Disk Management and now I can't reformat it or create a new partition. Explorer is recognising the drive but when I try to open it or format it I get an error "There is no disk in drive F: Insert a disk and try again".

Any ideas as to what I can try?

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, not sure where it should go.

For some reason, the Nano drive (which is the one I have) doesn't have a formatting tool. Would it be safe to try one of the others?

Assuming you have the Red Nano, have you tried the Imation LOCK tool for re-partitioning?

Yeah I did try that, it's telling me that the drive is write protected, yet the buttons to unlock (and lock) it are both grayed out. So that doesn't help.

I did get a program from the imation site - ImnUSBView.exe - which gives info about the drive and it is detecting it but that's as much as I can do.
