I have an inspiron e1505 that has a radeon 1400x hyper memory, and I was wondering if I can upgrade to an nividia go 8600 which would give me a lot better game play. If I can do this, what would it take to do it myself? I am ok with desktops but never messed with laptops so act as if I am a beginner. Some help would be very gracious. Thank you

Different MXM form and pipe construction.

You're going to have to buy a new laptop in order to get a 8600M card.

I believe the x1400 was the best card for the E1505. Sorry. :/

The only three options for video cards in the Inspiron 6400/E1505, were the Ati mobility radeon 1300 and 1400, and the nvidia 7300GS.
The fastest of the graphics cards for this system is the Ati X1400 which you have.
You can overclock the graphics card with Powerstrip, but I advise against it since you could burn out your gpu and brick your system.
I have the E1505, so I know that their is no better replacement GPU.

If your wondering what the X1400 looks like, it looks like this:

Thanks guys, although the info sucks to hear, I guess now I can just live with it. Thanks for letting me know, that when I got this laptop I made the best choice with the graphics card.
