Hey ok so I made an external hard drive with these parts:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817173040
and
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136073
I'm almost positive I put it together right...but when I plug it into my laptop (Asus V1S-B1), the drive doesn't show up in My Computer. I don't know what's wrong. Any suggestions?

ok so i looked at the "safely Remove Hardware" thing and I see my eternal is there. But why can't I see the drive in My Computer? Is there another way to open the drive??
-
also tried it on my friends computer running xp and the same thing happened. it installs the drivers and says its there when he clicks safely remove hardware, but it doesnt appear on the my computer screen.
