Ok i recieved my laptop about 2 weeks ago, instaled vista and all working ok, it then froze and had to reboot from then it just got stuck at the vista loading screen (the screen where the green bar runs allong), and nothing worked safe mode etc and booting. So sent it back and they changed how the boot works it was using hard drive first but now it checks disk first for boot. So thats all good so i pop in my disk and boot from it, and it goes:
press any key to boot from cd> checking windows files>
and then gets stuck on the loading screen again with the green bar.
any help or advice please?
oh and when running in safe mode when all the codes run down the screen it gets stuck at crcdisk.sys
UPDATE: i some how manage to get to the installation of new os, i was in advanced boot option, i left it to @windows is loading files' come back half hour later and was at the bit where u select what language n that for ur new system, then once it had installed and it rrbooots, all i get it black screenn when i turn it on, dos dsnt show just all black

well if you are trying to boot from a system install disk and it is getting stuck loading the OS install, then i would think it is a physical problem. something with the drive or the disk itself.
if you already have the os installed and are trying to load into it then i have no clue.
maybe if you explain what you are trying to do a bit more clearly, are you trying to reformat the drive or just boot into the os you already have installed? -
To the OP, do u have any external USB Storage device plugged into the laptop? If so, plug it out!

welll if i try and and load the windows that is already installed it get stuck, so i try to instal fresh os and that gets stuck to, so im trying to do both and none work, the techincal guys i sent it to did like 6 hr suming hardware test and it was all ok.
no nothing is attached except power -
Sounds like your HD or RAM is damaged. I would recommend you get a replacement/refund for your machine. If you can demonstrate the freezing to them you should be able to get it replaced at least.

no the run a hardware test and everyhting was ok

This is just one of the many sites I found by doing a google search on this topic. There doesn't seem to be a definitive solution though..but you can try searching...Some are saying it's due to the RAM and 64bit .Vista, LAN/BIOS, USB/SATA HDD etc. So I really don't have a clue as to what the solution is in your case. It would be helpful to get more info. about your computer specs though.

you can try to access the boot manager and select the recoery option to re-install Vista.
1- I'm not sure if your laptop has a hiden recovery partition, so you have to try.
2- to access the boot manager try F12. If it doesn't work look at the test that appears when you turn the laptop ON (the boot screen). it should tell you what key to use to access the boot manager. -
boot manager as in boot from disk?
-
your CD/DVD drive
your harddrive
a network (you might have this option, you might not)
....
and a recovery option
sorry can't help you more since I don't own a laptop like yours, so don't know which key or combination of keys you have to select to start the boot manager, or how to get to this hidden recovery partition to re-install Vista.
The combination of key(s) should appear few second after you put your laptop on. -
