Ok, I have a problem with buying new toys all of the time, even if the one I have is fine. So I'm trying to stop this trend but I'd like some information first! Will my Clevo have enough juice to run BF3 on ultra if I o/c? I was running it on med/high at 50fps back in Oct. I am on the fence now because I just ordered a M17x and im not sure if I really "needed" too. Downside of the Clevo is that it weighs roughly 15lbs and the power brick is twice the size of the M17x. Portability is kinda key due to deployments. Thoughts? Suggestions?

    Heres the Specs:

    Ibuypower (Clevo 7200)
Case: Tundra F2 17.3" Full HD 1920X1080 Widescreen LCD TFT Laptop w/eSATA port, Bluetooth (EDR), Fingerprint Security, Li-ion 6 Cells Battery, Universal AC Power Adapter - Original Metallic Black
    Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 950 Processor (4x 3.06GHz/8MB L3 Cache)
    Memory: 12GB [4GB x 3] 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM [Laptop Memory] - Corsair or Major Brand
    Video Card: 2X Mobility DDR5 1.5GB NVIDIA GTX460M PCI-Express 3D Video in SLI mode [F2]
Primary Hard Drive: 128 SSD Vertex 2/320 GB 7200rpm Serial-ATA Super Slim Laptop Hard Drive

    M17x
    Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 2860QM 2.5GHz (3.6GHz with Turbo Boost, 8MB Cache)
    Memory: 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz (2DIMMS)
    A/C Adapter: Alienware M17x 240W A/C Adapter
    Display Panel: 17.3-inch WideFHD 1920 x 1080 60Hz WLED
    Video Card: 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 580M
    Hard Drive: 500GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s

*I am planning on getting 4gb more of ram and a SSD for the M17x

Run BF3 on Med/High and call it a day. My laptop runs it on all low and I'm happy.

You are spending a lot of money for a laptop that isn't any better than the one you currently have.

This is exactally what I was looking for. Awesome data. And thanks to you guys for the input. Now i came up with a decision. The Clevo is too big to be "traveler" so I'm gonna sell it. I have a monster rig at home for home gaming, this new laptop will need to be smaller. What is the best (in your opinion) 14-15" gaming laptop? Lets set a budget of $1800 since the M17x was $1940 (aafes discount).
