    Hey guys AsusG60vx upgrades?

    I was wondering i was looking to upgrade this i bought it in like January, And i love this thing i would like to get it a second HD and would also like to get it a decent processor me and my boyfriend want to play games this summer his PC is great so i would just like some input on making it faster will be playing SC2 wow CS source TF2 and stuff like that : ) thanks guys

    Are dual cores out of date? >.<

    There are many CPUs you could use, T9900 would be fast, T9600 better value for money.

    Also some Imac specific CPUs (would also work), see here

    You can overclock your GPU with forceware drivers from laptopvideotogo and with nvidia system tools installed.

    I would expect that you will be fine for the next 2 years+, considering the fact that most games rely on a good GPU and not so much on the CPU.

    i would say 2 years but IMO , best CPU for G60vx is only T9900...which i would get now as P7350 which comes with it is crap..

    hah would the e8335 go into the asus G60? It looks like a strong cpu.

    As i was looking for the same thing you are i too have this (G60vx) but i am in debate if weather i want to upgrade the CPU or get the new Asus G73 i have heard some great things about it, and upon looking at it over the weekend at Best buy it is just amazing looking. But i think the Go60vx is a good Laptop!
