I do use Photoshop occasionally, but mostly I do multitasking (currently have 8 Firefox windows with 24 tabs in total, one IE window, Skype and a few other small programs I keep constantly running)... that's how my taskbar is daily. Is 4 RAM enough for that?

    How do I measure IOPS?

Firefox is memory Hog (if i wrote it correctly) that is probably main reason it would allocate huge amount of memory for no reason, you can try pale moon or something a little more optimized for M$ os-es or different combination of browsers or install more memory in your laptop. So then windoze will open a huge file as a temporary page file and try to swap in and out and you saw the results. :)

    enjoy ;)
