I have a Toshiba Satellite M305D-24830 that has a Travelstar 5k250. I looked at Hitachi's site and the data sheet they have says that it supports BDE, but i'm not sure. I set the User HDD password and when I boot up it asks for it every time, but I'm not clear on how and if BDE is working. Do I have to do a fresh install for BDE to work, or is it now that I have the HDD password set the drive is secured.
