I have an Asus M50SA-AK037, and since yesterday I observed a strange thing happening with my display. I had it on a small table, at which the little "legs" weren't equal, situation that made the display jiggle because of the inertia. Then I observed an area about an inch across where the screen will ripple when I jiggle the laptop. When is steady there's no problem, but as soon as i move it, the anomaly starts. Looks like a liquid, but I don't know what could be. Maybe you guys know what is the problem, because I want to know if I must go to the service with it.
I found the same problem on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrRmYdNHA9k

The video on youtube just looks like a ripple caused by case flex, the same type of thing can be observed by gently pushing on the screen with your finger, its just the matrix of the LCD flexing around.

Yeah it just seems like normal flexing of the LCD screen.

And how normal is that ?...I didn't do a thing that could harm the display. What could be the cause of this ? And if is so normal why other LCDs don't manifest the same ?
When I jiggle the notebook and touch that area it doesn't feel like flexing, from the exterior layer. It seems like something in the display. Here's a link to my own problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BjPZ71iS68 (it's low quality, but the ripple can be observed).

Maybe there is something in the lcd casing that is pressing against it.

Thanks for your answers about this, but i guess it was something temporary, because it dissapeared. It's not there anymore.
Suddenly I feel much better. :)
