Hi guy just wondering how hot yr AMD Processor at IDLE and MAXED.
My Processor is a AMD Turion X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 Tyler
At IDLE Core 1 is 42 degrees Core 2 is 45 (strange huh 2 Core different temperature)
At MAXED it hits 64 - 69 degrees
I used HWMonitor to take readings available here
Btw for AMD Processors it is better to install AMD drivers from AMD website to optimize workload and decrease temperatures from wat i know Intel Processors are self regulated without requiring drivers but AMD Processors are not just want to share this info.
Plz post yr temperature below Thanks

Shadowfate Wala pa rin ako maisip e.
My temps at idle w/o Aero(since GPU acts up with it on) 48-51
w Aero 51-55
At load( ANd I really mean Full load) 80-85C due to Orthos but it rarely goes that way even when I am encoding video files.
Note even when my Specs say 1.9 GHZ actually I run it at 2.25 GHZ.
Also I have only a 14.1 inch laptop which increses heat due to its small size.
If you really want to see your CPU temps at full load download Orthos and run it for 5 minutes. -
brianstretch Notebook Virtuoso
Idle under 40C, max in the 60's. This is with a 90nm TL50 in a HP dv9000z with the current BIOS that has the very critical fan control update. Everyone with a HP or Compaq notebook made within the last couple of years, AMD and Intel, needs to flash in the current BIOS to get the fan control fix.

My old turion 64 idle temps hover beteen 50-60 but it never hit 80 on load. The x700 on another end regularly made my laptop shutdown... =/

Hey guys i really have to share this info with u
i tried applying arctic silver 5 thermal paste to my processor temperature drop by 5 degrees when idle immediately, it was so amazing my GPU drop by 3 degrees
too. If yr laptop is really buy arctic silver 5 and apply it on yr laptop it works like a charm
From 45 degrees to 40 degrees for CPU
from 65 degress to 62 degrees GPU -
Yea AS5 would be a very good solution if your warranty has expired. Pulling apart youur notebook and applying thermal paste definately will void your on-going warranty

I think my laptop is f'd, I just booted the damn thing up and it went from 57 straight to 85+ C...WTF tl60? Anyone have any recommendations on how to lower this? It this even accurate?
-
Hee Hee yea i took it apart while it is still under warranty without voiding it
How? I took a paper and slide it up and down the edges of the warranty sticker it came out in one piece easily.
This is only recommended for warranty stickers that tear the type shown below
not the type that will tear an leave an image on yr laptop when removed
Wat happen is i forgot to take out my battery as a result something sparked
Killing my display adaptor of course i put everything back and sent it back for repairs
Yea btw i dun use anything else but HWMonitor to see temperature because it dosen't require an install

You might be able to lower it 10c or more using my undervolting guide. Have a read, its on my sig -
Make sure the machine isn't clogged with dust.

My AMD processor peaks at around 58C. I do not have a turion. I have a 125watt power consuming opteron 185.
Its surprising how my opteron uses 4-5x the wattage as your turion chips, and mine runs cooler.
Ahh, nothing like a 2lb entirely copper heatsink

I guess it was just a little clogged. =p

Theres a sticky guide on the HP section on how to clean the fans. Its for a dv2000 but the dv6000 pretty much share the same procedure
