I have a Thinkpad T500 with a SATA II connection for my SSD drive. I have a Plextor M3 drive. I recently did test of my harddrive speeds. I am not really sure how to judge my speeds. Is this good for a SATA II connected drive?

Seems about right. SATAII will obviously cap your SATAIII SSD's performance (from 510MB/s read 360MB/s write), and your SSD is hitting the ceiling on what SATAII can provide.
