On a Vista Premium. Made for kinda old games like Guild Wars Prophecies - medium-ish settings.

Just go with two gigs; you'll be happy. Microsoft recommends at least two gigs of RAM when running Vista. I doubt you'd get very smooth gameplay, even with games comparable to Guild Wars, with only on gig of ram.

try a 1/2gb flashdrive for readyboost, meant to help a fair bit for users with less than 2GB ram

See how it runs with your 2 x 512 and if it seems slow go for 2 x 1GB and just sell your old RAM.

Get 2x1GB or 1x2GB sticks and take out the two 512's. Sell them on eBay or something. You're sure to get some money back.

1gb will make you cry with vista. you need 1.5 gigs at the least to run it smoothly.

It'll be managable, but once you upgrade, you'll ask yourself why you made yourself suffer with 1gb.

I'm using 2gb with XP and the upgrade from 1gb to 2gb was such a worthwhile purchase.

hey you would need more than 1gb. hey trust me i just recieved my laptop and all i can tell you is that you need more memory. you may think y. well the perfect answer is the startup of a thinkpad require or just takes up 1.15gb of memory. and i have done so many tests and trust me you need more.

and dont be like me be smart. just get the 512mb option of memory and just upgrade to 2gb that would be cheaper. but just remember that lenovo wont cover your extra memory if it is not purchased from lenovo. ok but you will save that 50dallors.
