Desktop has a 160 GB (153) for the main drive, 77.4 free; and an 80GB (74.5) just for photos, with 12.2 free. -

160GB (actually 149GB after formatting) with about 45GB free. Satellite imagery is particular hungry for space. I try to keep all my work for the past 20 years available since I never know when I might need to refer back to it.

80 gigs. It shows up as 74.5 gigs so I guess there's a system restore partition or something?
Anyways, I'm only using 27 gigs right now. I do have an external drive but it mostly is just backup stuff. -

80Gb (74.5Gb in reality) and fluctuating between 7-10Gb free. No where close to enough space for the future.
Kaylya: it shows up as 74.5Gb because HD manufacturers define 1Gb as being 1million bytes, as opposed to the actual definition which is 1.024million bytes. -

60GB Sata 5400rpm, 24GB free, although I have some games i need to uninstall!

I have a strange case. Ive had 3 different hard drives in 3 different notebooks (60GB 7.2k, 80GB 5.4k, 100GB 5.4k) and my free space has always ended up to be between 15 and 20GB. Murphy's law i guess

Samsung 80 GB, 5400 rpm, 8 MB-cache. Great harddisk but can run hot without a notebook cooler.
I have around 15 GB left, but I have a lot of games on it (Oblivion, UT2004, BF2, Command and Conquer, Splinter Cell Double Agent, America's Army, Raven Shield etc.)

what do I use 50+ GBs for? Games, software, music and homemade videos, and lots and lots of files.
-
about 100gb, 50% used. I also have a 300gb harddrive thats 50% used... and my desktop 160gb is full (95%+)...guess what its full of?
In the end, there really is no such thing as too much space (I thought 160gb would be plenty when i upgraded from 4gb....I was sorely mistaken) -
550GB total (250 and 300GB disks)
And how much free? Right now, I've got 350 free. (Just formatted and reinstalled 3 days ago, so had to do a big cleanup to make sure all data fitted onto just one of the disks)
(For those interested, I think I've got ~10GB music, 15GB movies, around 80GB CD/DVD images, maybe 15GB programming stuff (libraries, SDK's and my own projects), and a ton of pictures. Until I formatted, my installed games took up another 50 or so, I think. And then there's installed programs other than games, Windows itself, and I still need enough space left over for two Windows installations and preferably room for Linux as well once I can find time to get it set up again
Thinking about buying another 300GB disk so I can put them in a RAID 1 setup. -
We're talking about notebooks, aren't we?
80 GB with 13 GB free.Uh, I haven't noticed how little free space I have...
-
80GB drive, 25.5GB free. I have an external drive I dump to when I feel I need more space.
How big is your HD, and how much free space?
