What do i need in order to do it, and when should i stop, when do i know i have stable values? Is there any step by step guide on how to do this?
Please note that i have never overclocked anything before.

First, you will need to find your PLL. There are several methods for doing this, as listed in this thread.
Then when you have found your PLL, you can use either SetFSB, or Clockgen to overclock the FSB of the CPU. I would recommend only overclocking 0.1 - 0.2Mhz per time, then stress testing to see what your max temps are and if you have reached your CPU's maximum capability. You will know when you have gone too far when your system either BSOD's, or locks up.
If it turns out that your PLL is locked, as with the majority of notebooks, you will most likely have to do a PLL pin mod to overclock your CPU.
I would recommend talking to Moral Hazard on this, he is greatly knowledgeable on this subject, and can help you far better than I can. -
but is there any complete step by step guide on everything i need to do?

If you've never oc'd anything before I cannot stress the importance of research before you try... Had a couple impatient friends learn the hard way. Heres a good start. http://www.asusreviews.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=6
