How do I find out the manufacturer of my laptop monitor? It is listed as Generic PnP Monitor. The detail doesn't seem to reveal anything meaningful other than a string of letters and numbers.

Get either PC Wizard or Everest, both programs provide LCD manufacturer info.

ATG is right but some Sonys do not provide this info to the tool.

I know VAIO SR does not.

Thanks but neither software provides the manufacturer name.
    Product ID: MS_0000
    Manufacture Date: 1990
    Serial Number: none
    Max Visible Display Size: 19.7"
    Picture Aspect Ratio: 4:3

Some of the information are incorrect. I have 16.4", 16:9 sony FW190 laptop. XBrite HiColor at 1600x900 native resolution and certainly not built in 1990.
