Okay for the life of me I can not figure out how to rip and burn a dvd. Actually burning would probably be easy if I could figure out how to rip it off the disc. So help me out guys. The dvd software loaded on my computer is Roxio My DVD and Windows Movie Maker. I figure one of these has to accomplish what I want it do right?

If you want to copy a whole DVD, use DVD shrink :) You can set it in DVD-5 or DVD-9 mode :)

For say only one episode off a DVD, google for DVD Decrypter (its discontinued, but I still use it.) Or someone will post now with an alternative...

Also check out http://www.videohelp.com/ for lots of guides and tools

nero and poweriso can help you rip but paid software. dvdfabdecrypter is a free software I think, rips movies into hard drive either dvd9 or into dvd5.

dvd shrink is now part of nero now. its good program too.

I never use roxio before so dunno what are other function of the program.
