My specs: http://puu.sh/jEW (the RAM type is DDR2)

My brother uses this laptop to play The Sims 3 and it lags a lot for him. He wants me to beef up my laptop for the game.

What can I do to upgrade my laptop to increase The Sims 3 performance? I know it largely has to do with video card stuff which can't be changed in laptops like this I guess, but I still want to buff my laptop in other ways if it makes The Sims 3 run smoother.

What can I do to upgrade? And how easy is it to swap the parts or whatever when upgradin?

Maybe try some overclocking the GPU?

The Radeon HD 3200 is far from the best graphics card on the planet, but it can still work if you're willing to drop the resolution and settings of the game. Try that first and see if it helps.
Adding more RAM won't help considering it's already maxed out.

If you ever do get upgrade ideas, feel free to post over on the Acer subforum for help.

To use the whole installed memory(4GB) install Windows 7 64Bit.

    - I'm a newbie to overclocking, so I don't know a thing about that.
    - Unless I can safely transfer all my files from 32-bit Windows 7 to 64-bit, I probably won't bother.
    - Sigh, people keep saying the video card sucks and stuff, but I was actually suggested to buy the laptop at this very forum. http://forum.notebookreview.com/wha...24968-need-cheap-laptop-possibly-one-tf2.html Now I just wish I got a different one >_>
