    How do i upgrade system bios?

    I remember hearing some guy was having bad performance whilst gaming on his laptop, he upgraded his bios and it fixed the problem, how does this work?

    Thanks for any help.

    You check with the manufacturer to see if there's a new BIOS for your computer, if so, then there's a program, either you download from the manufacturer or built into your current BIOS that allows you to update it.

    I wouldn't recommend upgrading the BIOS unless you know the problem is caused by the BIOS. Usually you only flash the BIOS if a memory card, or cpu isnt recognized after an upgrade, or it plain doesnt work.
    Judging from your post you just want to have better gaming performance.
    Changing main BIOS settings is not going to do anything for you.
    Video BIOS modding is what you are after. I highly recommend against it. If you screw up flashing the main BIOS or the graphics BIOS, you are completely out of luck.

    Nearly all manufacturers strongly urge you not to upgrade your BIOS unless you are having problems. You didn't mention if you were having any issues, and if you are not, I would advise you to not muck about with upgrading your BIOS.
