I recently replaced a Logic Board in a MacBook Pro and listed the dead one on eBay. To my surprise, the auction went up to $116.50!

Then I see people offering mother board refurbishing service from spill damage for under $150! here's one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270371711744 You send them the broken motherboard and they send it back refurbished!

    How do they do it???

I'm sure they have a method for testing specific areas of the motherboard and replacing the individual components.

There procedure is simple. They heat gun the entire board, and they hope that solder reflux fixes what is wrong. Than they sell the board. I am sure they have connections back to the original motherboard manufacturer, who will buy back motherboards as well, as it is cheaper to take parts off a used board, than it is to buy new.
