Hi, I tried to find the answer on how to determine the height of an optical drive, but I couldn't find answers myself. A friend of mine wants to remove his optical drive and install a SSD there. What are some ways to find out what height he should buy? Many thanks!

Edit: Is comparing your 2.5" HDD with your optical drive the best way?

What I did was just remove the optical drive and measure the height with a ruler...

Check the label on the dvd drive. It should say 12mm or 9mm
