    As the title suggests, how long do you think it will be before current CULV notebooks finally get updated with arrandale chips?

    But if I understand it correctly, aren't the ULV versions of arrandale not supposed to come out until summer or so?

    Fujitsu's P770 (i7 640UM) has been on sale for a couple weeks. Just be sure to use the credit card with lots of room on it.

    Looks like they knock off $300 if you don't customize. Just as well. Aftermarket RAM and HDDs are cheaper, anyway. Still too much dough for me, but at least it comes with optical drive, 3yr warranty, and a decent battery....

    No, the X201 uses low voltage Core i's, not ultra low voltage. Their TDP is 7W higher than ulv Core i's.

    Are i7-640UM CULV cpus? I thought they replaced SU9x00 series. CULV are cheaper alternatives running at lower clock speed( SU2300 or su3500 etc).

    CULV = Consumer Ultra-Low Voltage.
    Although the new Core i ULVs are 18W TDP rather than 10W as before, Intel is still classing them as such.
