My model (samsung X360) is just taking out of production.
Will I be able to buy a new battery in 1 year , 2 years ,etc...
If there is no date for this, I plan to buy an extra battery now.

I believe companies have to supply spares in the warranty period but I'm not sure about this.
Also - they'll sometimes have remaining stock left over. -
batteries seem to float around for some time. I managed to find a battery for my 6 year old Fujitsu on eBay some time ago but never bought it. i suppose it depends on how popular your laptop is.

Battery availability following end of production really seems to depend on how popular your model is to begin with. If it's been released in numerous countries, then chances are you shouldn't have a problem finding genuine batteries later on.
For my part, I can still find IBM T42 batteries of all capacities. Heck, this machine still gets 6 hours of battery life anyway.
How long is battery available after a model is not produced anymore ?
