On a 15.4", it's usually 8 or 9 Cells, however checking your notebook that it lasts a measley 60 minutes, I wouldn't be surprised it it was only a 6 cell.
-
Actually, I would say that the base batteries in those laptops are usually 4-6 cell. Some manufacturers offer up to 9 cell I belive, but as a premium upgrade. 6 is usually the standard.
-
The one's I've seen are usually 8-9cell, but I know Acer, as well as Compaq is known to use 3-6 cells in 15.4" notebooks.
-
I looked at sonys, lenovos, hps, dells, gateways 15.4" notebooks. They all come with 6 cell batteries base, and some have options for bigger ones.
I'll go ahead and take a wild guess the OP's is also 6 cell. Download notebook hardware control, and look under the "battery" tab. It will tell u the capacity. -

You can see some 8 cell batteries there.ASUS V1Jp has 8-cell too. -
I've seen and touched all ASUS and LG notebooks, all have at least an 8 cell, thus I asked. Dell usually have a wide option of batteries, usually people pick the 8 cell.
-
Can you take out the battery and see if there's any text on it?
Something like "5300 mAh" or "77 Whr" would be helpful.
