1 GB for me.
JC -
512MB on this computer. Havent felt much of a need to upgrade yet.
-
1gb but 128mb is eaten up by the video card.
-
desktop: 512+128MB
notebook: 1GB -
2 gig here on laptop
-
1x512Mb on the Laptop
2x1Gb dual channel on the Desktop
The memory difference is very noticable. I don't think it'll be much longer before I add a second 512Mb stick to the notebook -
I have 2GB of ram.
Tim -
I have 384 mb of ram
-
1gb on Lappie.
512Mb on desktopie! -
2gb/no page file
-
1GB, which seems to be enough for everything (solidworks, photoshop, games, etc...)
-
2 GB with GMA900
-
The most my notebook could hold was 1gig or so, I use crucial. Next one will have 2gigs
-
1.25gigs in the lappie
2gigs in the desktop (selling 1gb) -
1gb PC4300
-
1 GB here.
512 came with the laptop, but a few weeks later RAM was on sale at my big box store. Overall, I've found a bit better performance...way better than the 128 MB I have on the ol' desktop -
1GB (2x512MB)
-

1.5GB! (cause I can't afford two 1GB sticks!)
-
512MB...More then enough for this lappie......
-
Hmm why does cpuz say that I'm running dual channel when I have 1.5gb ram (1gb+512mb sticks)?
btw i voted for 1.5
the more ram the marrier for me. Its also a compensation for my internal memory shard gpu. -
yesterday i had 512mb(2x256) with 128 to vid
today i have 768(1x512 and 1x256) with 128vid
in a week i will have 1.25gb (1x1024 and 1x256) with 128vid
I think that should have me vista ready -
1 GB for me...I don't think anymore will help me at all. I moniter the heck out of RAM usage and even in gaming I don't get close to 1 GB! When I build a desktop though, I'll shoot for 2 GB...just because I can lol.....
-
Me too, 1024(2x512MB) DDR2 667 is enough for me. Only search the Internet, pictures and photo editing and common documentation are my daily task with my PC.
-
it is currently impossible to have 4gb ram in a laptop. is this about desktops too? then it should be in the desktop forum no?
-
JC -
yeah.... sure... -
actually, you can configure the dell precision notebooks with 4 gigs ram, but the upgrade costs almost as much as the computer, if not more.
-
-
I have 1 GB of RAM and it serves me well I must say. I don't really see a need to have more than that for XP right now, even for gaming.
-
2gb in system in signature
-
1GB for now, but im bumping it up to 2GB after this summer
-
Seem to be 2GB is good for everything......
yeah, i'm going to upgrade to 2GB(2x1024) from 1GB(2x512) coming summer. -
Maxed out - 2GB
-
2 GB in my laptop.
-
just upgraded to 2GB DDR2-533
