I have a Dell 1555 (15.4) and the 720p screen...I would love better contrast but since practically everything I do on the laptop is text based or web surfing, I want some kind of balance between quality and usability.

I know that this is different for everyone but is the text really super small compared to the 720p display?

Thanks in advance for you help,

    Scott

I have both the dell 1600x900 and 1366x768 15.6" LED backlit screens and I like the higher resolution one a lot more. Everything at the same settings, yes, looks a little bit smaller, but it looks a lot crisper too and it loses almost all of the grainy look that the lower resolution screen has. It couldn't really be much of a problem if dell also has 1080p screens available for your model.
