Can anyone advise me how to remove the fascia from the NEC ad-5540a DVD burner?

    BACKGROUND
I bought this DVD burner to replace the GCC-4240N in my Dell Inspiron 8200. It works fine but in my original research I learned that another Inspirion 8200 owner was able to replace the ad-5540a fascia with the Dell-specific one from the GCC-4240a. This makes for a better fit in the 8200. I have been able to remove the fascia from GCC-4240, but I can't figure out how to remove the one from the NEC ad-5540a. Anyone know how?

    Thanks,

    Jerry

I don't know the NEC ODD, but I've changed the fascias on various models. They are usually held on a a series of plastic hooks which you can see in the attached photo. Get a small screwdriver so that you can gently lever over the hooks from the back. I find it is usually only necessary to spring the two end hooks and then the fascia will move sideways slightly and the others will become released without any force.
