    I got an acer travel mate 2480 celeron 1.73 256 mb ram as a present i was happy but sad from the performance someone told me I should upgrade the ram now how do I do tht and can any one plz help me to find the right ram??..im interested in 1 gb and yea is there any way to change the processor because I have a pentium 4 2.60 ghz chip lying around at the house...

    You're looking for any flavor of PC5300 DDR2 RAM. I can't find a service manual for your particular machine, but chances are the RAM is under a flap on the underside of the machine... or under the keyboard.

    You will not be able to upgrade the Celeron M to a Pentium 4. For the most part, this would probably be a downgrade as well.
