    I just bought Gateway P6831 which has a ESATA port, how can i use my Seagate Barracute 7200.10 250G from my old desktop to the laptop? thanks

    Exactly. You can get cables that have SATA on one end and eSATA on the other.

    Or you can get an enclosure. There are plenty out there, lots of variety.
