    Hi guys
I d like to make raid 0 with 1x 256GB mSATA and 1x 256gb msata inserted in 2.5 SATA adapter
but when i select RAID mode in bios then all sudden one msata will disappear in boot order menu. but when i switch back to ahci ,the drive 0 will appear again (which is that msata connected directly to msata port not on msata to sata adapter)
Any idea why is this doing ?

EDIT : On msata directly connected ssd is win 8 installed (GPT)

how is it going, so I assumed you bought the dual adapter, basically 2 mSATA SDDs connected in one 2.5" SATA connector, did it work? system seeing it as 1 hard drive or 2? does it only work on RAID or it work in normal setup? so basically the mSATA port is now free, put 1 512G mSATA SDD to run RAID 1 with 2 RAID 0 256G SSDs LOL

Well I have contacted ebay retailer .. he ordered few from china ..
But thing concerned me that on picture shows only 500MB/s (in RAID0)

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=301152821280&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123

So I asked why only 500? Mine single mSATA SSD managing 500MB
The retailer don't know as he only selling it so he contacted manufacturer and they said that SATA III is limited to 600MB/s

    I said well looke here ;

there is almost 1GB/s in RAID 0 so how come that box wont reach at least 900MB/s ?
And they never replied .. so .. it is pass it is rubbish ... no true RAID

It can't reach at least 900MB/s because you are connecting both drives to a single SATA connection...

The point is to use multiple mSATAs in 1 2.5" SATA.

Did you try at first set RAID in Intel RST software and only then set bios?

I was asking about your original problem of raid sata and msata. You need to set up IRST at first and then set up bios.

man i DO NOT HAVE RAID 0 feature in my laptop !!! jesus if I do I will never create this thread !!

I have purchased first mSATA Plextor M5M 256GB then I bought second bcos I believed once I connect second SSD the Intel option ROM RAID utility would appear .. but nothing such happened

Then I discussed this on acer forum and I been told that I have ONLY HDD caching RAID (Intel smart response technology) which am not interested in as I don't use HDD in ultrabook !
So then THAT IS WHY I searched for this product to make alternate way making RAID 0 by purchasing this product what we talkin bout in this thread!
But as user reviews clearly shows that this is nothing just crap product - china experiment

Coming with new news looks like asus made better version !

It uses a new, as of yet unreleased interface, SATA Express. That isn't going to work in your laptop.
