I have a Toshiba A200 with 512MB RAM. I want to upgrade the RAM but I am not sure how much is the maximum upgradeable RAM. Since a newer A200 with 1GB RAM is on market, I cannot consult available specifications on the internet.

Is there a way to physically detect the maximum upgradeable RAM for a laptop?

You could use CPU-Z if you know what you are doing.

Or it`s easier to use the memory scanner on the crucial website.
