I have tried using google and searching the forums, but that left me more confused than before.

ok, I want to take my SSD from my old laptop and put it in my new laptop. I posted a similar question a few days ago, but the answer was "its just like a HDD." I cannot really find and answer for a HDD (using the old drive in the new system without wanting to transfer files from the old system). I don't really care about files from my old system because I never really saved that much stuff on it.

so, in a nutshell, I want to take my old SSD out as if it were fully erased (i guess as if I were going to sell it) and put it in my new laptop (maybe clone my new laptop since I don't feel like installing photoshop all over again).

    THANKS :)

Im a bit confused here. Being confused, I will say right off that your BEST option is to do a fresh install and optimize the ssd or ensure key things are done to ensure that it works best.

As soon as you format and reset partitions it will erase and format all. As soon as TRIM is allowed to click in it will complete the final wiping for you, whether you reformat and clone or do a new install.
