my lappy has a VGA (which I do not want to use because its analog which = less image quality) and an HDMI Port. I have it hooked up to a 24" Monitor. (1920x1200 res) HDMI only outputs up to 1920x1080. IF i get an hdmi to dvi cable will it then do 1920x1200?

Display management should show the resolution that the monitor accepts. It's weird that is does that because I have used HDMI on a 16:10 screen (1920x1200) resolution.
