Ok, don't flame me for this seemingly stupid question, but I need some instructions on how to install a SSD on a laptop (with Vista).
Is there a need to change settings in BIOS? What about the thing on AHCI/ATA thingy... sorry for being a nOob

Its exactly same as how to install with normal HDD.
Just plug it into the system
Boot from Vista disc
Vista takes it from there

No need to feel ashamed for it, we all started on the Computer World not knowing much.
As Quicklite said, the installation is straight-forward and the same as a Normal HDD.
You might want to use this guide to optimize Vista to work with your SSD after than you install it, originally posted by MR.Moo:
