    How to run laptop from a wireless HD or SSD ?

    Could I boot and run the laptop from a HD or SSD using bluetooth or another wireless way ?

    You can PXE boot wirelessly if your BIOS is advanced enough (which it's not).

    I have never ever heard of PXE over wireless. +rep if you can show me something.


    To answer the OP: No, you cannot. You could boot into a minimalist OS that has wireless support, then connect to the HD and run a VM stored there... but why? It'd be painfully painfully slow. The HD is already the slowest component in a PC, why slow it down more?

    No, I wasn't being sarcastic. It's more theoretical than anything (I don't have a solid example, and I don't know of any computers that can PXE wirelessly), but it certainly is possible if your BIOS is advanced enough to control your wireless card.
