Hey guys, I'm sending in my M18x to get the video cards and chassis replaced (seperate issues) and I'm keeping my boot drive since I have confidential information stored on it and currently have no means of backing it up. I don't have a static bag, so what would be the safest way to store it while the laptop is with Dell?

    Ziploc bags work fine.

    Future reference:
For backup you could look at free storage providers like Dropbox, Sugarsync, and ZumoDrive. All up to 5gb free of charge.

I work as a contract negotiator/client manager for a private security firm (I'm also a student). We have everything essential backed up to SkyDrive, but I also have a lot of personal notes and the like. I just feel a lot more comfortable if there's one copy of stuff like that.

You can buy anti-static pouches off Ebay for peanuts, that's the best way to store it. Just search for "anti static bag" and you will get loads of varying sizes ....
