I finally got my new XPS 17. Right now the laptop uses Intel's GPU. I have an Nvidia control panel but it doesn't tell me how I can switch. Anybody have any clues?

I'm pretty sure it uses auto switching--Optimus. When is senses a program requires the faster GPU, it turns the Nvidia card on.

You can edit which programs trigger the Nvidia GPU by going to the Nvidia control panel under 3D settings.

The articles claims this is suppose to happen seamlessly. The reviews with it came out (haven't been following it) were satisfactory.

It is, but you can still edit the list if you wish.
