    How to turn off auto logon when you don't have a password?

    How to turn off auto logon when you don't have a password in vista?

    you can try typing "netplwiz" in the startmenu and se if the user must enter a user name and password to use this computer box is marked

    You can try creating a new a password, restart, and after you logged on remove the password. Then check if it still logs on automatically.

    I don't know if you can use it in Vista, but the Microsoft TweakUI PowerToy is good and has that option.

    Also I don't know if its the same path in Vista, but in XP there's a registry key at this point: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon" and the key is called "AutoAdminLogon" (You may want to search for that key). Set the value of it to 0.

    The last one should work. I tried it now.

    and acces to that registry key can be gotten through typing netplwiz in the search area of the startmenu which mean alot less hassle for him

    My apologies then. I don't have Vista yet so I wouldn't have known that. I just did a google search to get an answer.
