Start with www.crucial.com to find the right RAM. Then you probably need to remove two screws, open a door and insert the RAM, it's very easy. You probably have two slots with either one being used by a 256MB chip or a 128MB chip in each.

On laptops there is usally just a simple cover, which is attatched by 1 or more screws. Once you open that you should have access to the RAM module(s) (the place where ram is inserted). here you can very easily add/remove RAM from its module(s).
