So recently I've been browsing the internet and the forums and I saw that you can upgrade the ram on the blade pro and add a secondary SSD to it? I was wondering if anyone could give me a step by step procedure on it? And yes I do know that if you open the blade pro it will void the warranty...

if you own this laptop and if it will void the warranty then you cant add the ram and ssd. or are you willing to void.
sounds a bit like msi laptops as depending where bought they will void warranty even if you open it to clean the vents.

    1. have you got this laptop
    2. have you looked at the clevo range of gaming laptops which are user upgradable without voiding warranty and cheaper.

not sure if it has 2 or 4 ram slots but these are usually easy to upgrade. find slot, click old ram out and replace.
the secondry ssd i guess will be in place of the dvd drive which will also need a caddy but you have to check on size as there are various versions about.

    edit

just checked and it says it only has 8GB onboard memory (DDR3L-1600MHz) so i have no idea if you can add more or not.

    1) no but I'm thinking of getting on
    2) I kinda don't like the design
    3) I was thinking on getting MSI but I don't like the way it looks, by the way seeing that you look like a tech pro how long do you think the razer blade pros specs going to last before it becomes slow?

If this is the machine you're considering (for anything other than gaming):

    See:
Razer Blade Pro: Extreme Performance Gaming Laptop - Razer Canada

With no options to upgrade the cpu, RAM and storage subsystem (which SSD is inside?)...

Then it will be slow two weeks before you take delivery of the system. These spec's are 2013 for the cpu and circa 2009 for the RAM capacity.

CPU+RAM=WORK - this system is woefully underpowered for the quoted use of:

The biggest deal breaker is the limited RAM - especially if it is not upgradable to at least 32GB.

This is a throw away toy; not a 'pro' machine at all, imo.

It may look pretty - but it is shallow too. Not to mention too expensive for the performance offered (in other than gaming; which I don't care about at all).

When purchasing your laptop, keep in mind that very, very few users need 32 GB of system memory today. Most people that purchase a laptop and keep it for 3+ years do not upgrade a single component and are quite happy with it. So if/when you do decide to purchase one, post in the " What Notebook Should I Buy" subforum here on NBR. You'll get far more realistic suggestions, not ones that make you end up spending more than the cost of the laptop in upgrades.

EDIT: I just read your post over in that section.

I am not making any recommendations or suggestions - with the limited information provided by the OP, I am merely pointing out that the specific machine he/she's considering - the intended use of the machine does not match the specifications it is delivered with.

im no expert so cant advise on that and have never seen one of these laptops but you are paying for the name and thats roughly about it.
yes its pretty but and has ok'ish spec but to get a all singing all dancing power house you have to go bigger/thicker/deeper as thin laptops just cant take the high end spec due to heat.
