How can i use RM clock to undervolt T9400 without loosing half a multiplier of speed? I know that RM clock can only recognise the max multiplier in T9400 as 9X but there is a hack to make it recognize the 9.5X (actual max multiplier ) as 10X... can someone tell me what this hack is ?
-
Did you search for it? You're going to have to do some editing and create a new key for the higher multiplier.
-
I've tried searching everywhere but to no avail..i've seen someone do this hack before but i can't find it!

Ok i installed RM clock and started doing what the undervolting guide said but problem is that my CPU isn't properly detected even when in advanced CPU settings i tick mobile CPU. Also IDA appears to be disabled. What to do? Is it because i'm using windows 7 64 bit? I'm running RMclock in compatibility mode with windows vista SP2 yet this happens. Help!

I don't know about the Win7 compatibility sean, but the multiplier unlocking is like this:
Close down RMClock from the system tray. Launch the Registry Editor and navigate to HKCU >> Software >> Rightmark >> RMClock. You should see a value on the right side named PStatesData. Open it, then you should see something like this:
After that, look up SkipCPUIDCheck and set it to 1.
Restart RMClock, and then verify that you have your proper half-multiplier. -
Ok thanks for that but my CPU isn't being recognised.. if u see my post with a picture earlier.. its shows IDA disabled etc..and the CPU not being recognised as T9400. Is there a way to solve that? Than i can use RM-clock properly as i do want IDA to be enabled.

I'll add some screenshots showing how my RM clock looks like and how the pstatesdata key in registry looks like. I'm getting real desperate.. i'm using CPUgenie now but the trial is ending in 2 days so i need RM clock working! Plz help! I'm literally talking to myself in this thread!

This might help if you have not already read it.

Yes i have read that and already done all of that.. but IDA can't be enabled at all.. it seems that in thwe pstatesdata registry jey , something about IDA is missing. if you see one of the previous posts with 4 pictures , IDA can't be enabled. Is there a way to enable IDA? If i can do thta , then RM clock will be working flawlessly.
Thanks -

Sorry I wasn't able to get back.
Well, the PStatesData was right, but I can't understand why the processor doesn't show itself.. Do you have CPU-Z? Try seeing if it lists your proc there. Did you happen to upgrade your processor from a lesser one? When I upgraded and booted for the first time Device Manager seemed to install the processor. Try reinstalling your chipset driver, or try to see if Device Manager itself shows the T9400. In an extreme case, I would suggest reseating the processor or something.
With the IDA, in my T9600 it's also off..although sometimes I do notice the clock speed goes higher, about 3.06GHz (should be only 2.80) but I really don't see how important IDA is. -
I cant really help you with this but heres some links that may be helpul to you.

here is a thread where another user with a T9400 got it working:

Make sure you read the whole thread. i hope it works for you, good luck -
CPU-Z shows the CPU.. the part about the CPU not being shown properly by RM clock can be ignored..but IDA remains disabled.. i'll read up and try.. Thanks all for your help.

[Well known of that shows anything about enabling IDA.. the only thing i can think of would be to rewrite the Pstatesdata key so IDA can be enabled.. but i have failed to rewrite it.. Could someone do that for me plz? I'm attaching how the key looks... if they can type out how to change it or something i'll be very grateful.
