I was told PC2-5300 would do just fine. Crucial recs 5300 or 6400 but people are saying if I get the 6400 Santa Rosa will bring it down to 667 MHz regardless.

I was looking around at RAM, how is this?

I know it's not a "super deal" but I am not looking for value ram. I want good ram in my laptop. Is it a good price for good RAM? ($204.99 + $4.99 S/H)

You should be good to go on that RAM. Memory prices seem to be on the rise again after they bottomed out. $200 is not too bad of a deal for 4GB.

    one question why?
budget RAM and performance RAM are the same unless you overclock, and you can't overclock Dells.

are you using 64bit Vista? because i don't think 32bit Vista can recognize all 4gb
