    Hows the 4500gma for movie watching?

    I'm interested in the 6400 Latitude. I don't game but I watch alot of movies, how's the comparison between the 4500 and the NVS 160?

    I doubt if you could notice any difference between these 2 GPUs for movie playback. The nVidia GPU has more pipelines for processing of 3D graphics but movies are 2D graphics, so that extra capability is irrelevant.

    The Intel GPU includes a built-in HD decoder which takes the processing load of HD video off the CPU. I don't know if the NVS 160 also includes this feature.

    Should you want to watch movies while running on battery, then the Intel option is more power-efficient.

    Oh, the reason I ask is because I had a old XPS m140 and the screen was horrible, I mean really horrible and now I have a Extensa 4420 with the 1250 it's much better overall but I want a Latitude 6400 and I want to make sure the screen quality is at least as good as my Acer.

    I am not familiar with the Dell 6400 model but 4500gma will be way more than sufficient for any kind of movies. In fact, that GPU is not bad for some mid-range games either... It is Intel's best GPU so far...
